On May 14 was signed an agreement between Transparency International Spain and the European Foundation for the Information Society in order to increase public transparency and citizen participation, fundamental objectives shared by both organizations.

Through this agreement the two organizations made available to the Spanish public institutions, for free, several applications and programs to facilitate the transparency of these entities, such as Municipalities, Provincial or Regional Governments, or Parliaments. Some of these platforms are: “Transparent Institution European” and “Europea participa” to promote transparency and citizen participation respectively.

The agreement has been signed by Enrique Barón, President of the European Foundation for the Information Society, José María Gil-Robles, President of this Foundation in Spain, and Jesús Lizcano, Chairman of Transparency International Spain.
