TI-Spain received the 2010 COSITAL Award

The General Council of Associations of Secretaries, Auditors and Treasurers of Local Government has awarded TI-Spain the 2010 COSITAL Award. This award is handed out for the work that TI-Spain does for the interest of the general public, and especially for the initiative of the Transparency Index on Municipalities. According to Eulalio Avila, Chair of COSITAL, the index has led to a clear improvement on transparency of local entities, for example on their internal management.

On March 12 in the city of Toledo, Jesús Lizcano, Chair of TI-Spain, received the award on the Congress of Secretaries, Auditors and Treasurers of Local Government, under the slogan: “For the right to good administration. transparency, objectivity and professionalism”.
