On the 11th of December, the Results of the second edition of the TRANSPARENCY INDEX OF THE SPORTS FEDERATIONS (INFED), prepared by Transparency International Spain, were presented. This Index is a tool to measure the level of transparency before citizens and society of Sports Federations. In this second edition of the INFED, the transparency of the generality of the Spanish Sports Federations (65) is evaluated, and this through an integrated set of 30 indicators.

TI-Spain and the State Attorney General’s Office meet to follow up on the Joint Agreement

On December 21, a meeting was held between TI-Spain and the State Attorney General, mainly aimed at monitoring the collaboration agreement signed and renewed by both institutions in 2015 and 2018. This revised agreement includes other things, the commitment of the Office of the Prosecutor to publish an Ethical Code, whose contents can be assumed in the activities and actions of prosecutors in our country. The meeting was attended by the Attorney General of the State: Mª José Segarra, the President of TI-Spain, Jesús Lizcano, as well as the Prosecutor Francisco Moreno, the Prosecutor Ana Isabel García, and the Secretary General of TI-Spain, Jesús Sánchez Lambás.

Conclusions of the International Seminar on Corporate Integrity

On November 29 and 30, 2018, was held the International Seminar on Corporate integrity, good governance and transparency: good Practices for businesses and public administrations in the 21st Century, organized by Transparency International Spain in collaboration with the National Commission of the Markets and Competition. The activity was attended by representatives of civil society, the public and private sectors, who reflected on a common challenge: the prevention of corruption and the strengthening of a culture of integrity in Spain.

Renewal of the collaboration agreement between TI-Spain and the CGPJ

On September 7 Transparency International Spain and the General Council of the Judiciary have signed a new collaboration agreement that involves an extension of the agreement signed in 2014 and aims to deepen the transparency policy that is being applied by the governing body of judges in a manner consistent with national and international standards in the field of information disclosure. The agreement has been signed by the president of the Supreme Court and the General Council of the Judiciary, Carlos Lesmes and the president of Transparency International Spain, Jesús Lizcano.

Results of the Transparency Index of Public Companies (INDEP)

On July 19 TI-Spain launched the Results of the TRANSPARENCY INDEX OF PUBLIC COMPANIES (INDEP), prepared by Transparency International Spain. This is the first edition of this Index, which aims to measure the level of transparency of the forty-five largest State Public Enterprises through an integrated set of 60 indicators, related to six different areas of transparency. The results obtained by these companies have been presented both at a global transparency level and in each of the six areas mentioned.
